She doesn't want to look too eager to meet someone new, but she also needs to remind herself to stay on guard. She can't just go barreling into the first person who calls her cute and think that they're a good person. She's already learned that lesson thanks to college (and thankfully not because of Raccoon City).
She checks the time again, and again, and again, before she finally makes her move to come around the corner to the Prismbucks. Not early, not really late, she enters into the cafe with her head up looking for Kerra.
When she spots her pin, she tries her best not to let her excitement show. The adrenaline from surviving must still be running through her system that meeting people who were nice and not trying to eat her was luxury.
"Kerra! Hey." She says as she approaches. "Sorry I'm a little late."
Kerra, for her part, is not terribly concerned about Claire. She's had blessedly few people in her life that genuinely frighten her, and even fewer that she couldn't deal with handily. She is quite eager, however, to put a face to the text. She hasn't had many opportunities to meet people that weren't trying to kill her in the last two years, but that was the life she led. One meeting for coffee with someone who seemed equally eager for it couldn't be too bad, and she'd left for the shop after cleaning up with a spring in her step.
She wasn't too early, arriving a couple of minutes after the appointed time and settling against the wall near the door to wait, fiddling with a small holo-display on her multitool.
When Claire approaches, or who she assumes to be Claire based on the greeting and appearance, her gaze snaps up immediately and she stows the device, grinning. One look tells her quite a bit, mostly that Claire's nervous and excited...though the Force helps her a little with that.
"Hey! Don't sweat it one bit," she replies in a warm contralto, before offering her hand for a shake. "I just got here myself, but I'm usually late, so I don't get to complain."
She can't help but smile at the warm reply, moving to take a seat across from Kerra. Claire brushes a stray hair behind her ear before she leans up against her elbows. This was quiet, not really the kind of atmosphere she was used to but it was nice.
Better than the dingy bars that she would go to all the time.
"Good to know. So did you order yet or do you want me to grab something for you?"
Start slow. Don't just jump into it, but gosh she just has so many questions for Kerra she doesn't know where to start. It's honestly excited her that she's talking to a real person outside of the horrifying situation she found herself in. Claire's trying to push down her excitement, but honestly, it's not working.
"I figured I'd get yours, but I wasn't sure what you wanted...so I opted to wait."
Kerra grins right back, meeting Claire smile for smile, shooting a quick glance to the short line. She doesn't mind paying, or anything like that. She's gotten plenty of Chroma so far from helping treat people in the aftermath of the vines. Laying of Hands helps with that.
"Line's short, so...what should I get for you?" She pauses, eyes flashing with a hint of mischief. Maybe she's picked upon that excitement. Or maybe she just wants to gauge a reaction. It's tough to say. "Or would you like to order together?"
